Yea, its only real if they put in the time to do the math first, cause no way they just guessed that.

could you not change your trajectory drastically by dipping your body to one side when you are in the air?
I would think there are alot of variables involved in doing something like this that make the most likely outcome death...

LOl, dude dipping your body or whatever your thinking isnt gonna change your trajectory ONLY if you were to really start doing crazy shit in the air. notice how the guy is basically uniform in the air. your giving the variables to much credit to fucking up your shit. its would really be easy... build a jump, then calculate it out with basic physics. these guys are german, I have complete faith this is real

lotsa variables. definitely very dangerous. look at the dude in the air though, he is almost perfectly still. he's done jumps like this but probably on a much smaller scale...
they definitely prepared the hell out of this 'experiment'. i mean just look at the ramp, that must of taken a while to build/design. also the amount of test runs they would have to do to practice how fast the dude can go before he hits the upslope of the ramp + how much friction loss gets taken into account....
definitely fucking crazy but totally doable.

The only way to know for sure is to make one ourselves and use bongo as our guinea pig

I wonder how fast he would have gone if they covered the slide in dish soap first?

yeah, they probably tried to make it as frictionless as possible. maybe something even more slippery than dish soap.... WHO KNOWS?!?!?!?
