anybody else get rockband beatles yet?

holy crap dude i never liked the beatles, but the shitty setlist for guitar hero 5 led me to choose rock band beatles on production values over gh 5.

holy crap, the beatles first of all wrote some songs i never even realized they wrote, and 2nd of all the quality of this game is off the hook- they have the best songs from sgt peppers and abbey road and the visuals for some of the songs are friggen incredible.the lucy in the sky with diamonds song becomes this trip-crazy pyschedellic moving mural while your playing its so awesome i wish u could import that set to use with other songs !!!

anybody else get this game?

i read mtv payed 50 million bucks !!!!! for the rights to these songs, and frankly based on the fact that i never owned a beatles album and didnt think i liked them before i got this game- id say its gonna make a lot of new beatles fans out of the new generation - and a shitload of cash for yoko ono too!

i don't get the hate for these kind of games, they are entertaining and you can find bundles for as low as 89 bucks nowadays (just $20 more than your usual release). rock band is the first and only video game i can play just as well with my wife, my father-in-law, my daughters or my siblings. yeah it's not like playing a real instrument (aside from the drums which is a rather close match) but it's fun regardless and being able to hammer down a solo is just as rewarding as learning to do anything else in any other game

fuck the haters

I like guitar hero a lot. Great game to have on a parties and shit. But at least for me and my friends, we are useless on real guitars/bass after playing. It makes my hands think there is really only one string and only 5 frets, switching to 4 or 6 strings and lotsa frets makes my head hurt after guitar hero.

Those backgrounds do sound crazy though. I'm looking forward to trippin out on those while other people play. "New and improved games for dosers!"

its not the gameplay its the fact that theyve sold people the same game over and over again. they must be laughing their bollocks off

explain that a bit lloydy, new songs have been offered with every release and that's the whole point of buying. at least these games offer hours of enjoyment that you can come to again and again. it's a lot more dependable than the usual games, which may be "different" from one another but you beat in 15 hours and never want to play again

there's talk of letting bands craft their own rock band tracks to sell over xbl so the potential for variety is endless

there are many dl songs that aren't in any of the official releases, and every release has offered more songs for less money than it would cost paying for each individual song (for example 84 songs come on rock band 2 and the songs cost about 1.25 to download).
