something very odd
let me put you in my setting real quick..
im pouring very hot water from my faucet into a pan getting ready to cook some ramen. put pan on the stove, stove is already on, heating up the already HOT water. Pour ramen in, cook, strain the hot water out, pour ramen into a bowl, throw in some crunched up crackers and chips and the seasoning, and I sit down ready to eat.
2 bites in, mmmm delicious afternoon snack. 3rd bite, wtf this shit is dead cold. I thought that is weird, but it wasn't until 2 bites later when I got another cold as fuck bite I started thinking about it.
how the fuck is this ramen cold. It was never cold to begin with. never sat in cold water, how is this possible.
shit is blowing my mind bro, blowing my fucking mind.

I cooked it on the stove. I'm one of the few americans that doesn't use a microwave like ever.

we actually hardly ever hit 100 degress. And all summer nights get into the 60s low 70s.

It might have been the disodium inosinate in the centre of the solid ramen bar pre-soak. If it was an old package of noodles, the disodium inosinate might have degraded and solidified in the centre of the bar, and once mixing with the hot water created an invert hydrolithic reaction. Hence the chilly finish.
Otherwise I have no idea.
