More dog pics and a story of what happened tonight.

So an hour or so ago when I was out on my nightly walk with Lola, I had quite the encounter with a Great Dane, and not just any Great Dane, this was literally the biggest dog I've ever seen in my life.

Was out on me and Lola's evening walk, when this Great Dane comes at us out of a neighbors yard. It's already dark here so I didn't see him till he came up on us. My first thoughts were holy shit but remain calm, don't panic. This dog wanted to play, very badly, but my pit was scared out her mind, never encountered something so monsterous, and we spent a good 10 mins circling back and forth trying to get away from this giant thing out in the street. I watched 8 cars pass us, I look them all down showing I desperately needed some kind of help but of coarse no one even slows down. And I wasn't in someones yard or even on the sidewalk. I was in the street doing circles with my dog seriously freaking out. While I was pissed no one even slowed down to consider helping, it doesn't surprise me, this country is full of people who would rather not get involved in something than actually helping. Its quite sickening.

Anways, so its about to get serious, my dog is really not liking this, things have almost gone bad a few times now, and im getting pretty worried. I always carry a knife on me, and I actually have it out, blades closed but its in my hand. I would never ever ever want to stab an animal but I had no idea what this dog was going to do and I would not hesitate to protect myself or my dog if it came down to something very serious.

Finally I go to a random house and ring the doorbell. A guy comes out, about my age, mid 20s, I ask him about the dog if he knows whos it is and what not. He sees I am not going to be able to just walk away so he invites me in while he holds this huge dog, almost getting bitten actually. We call the police and they arrive within minutes actually and get a dog person out to pick up this dog. Thank god. The whole time I was seriously worried a fight was going to break out, and this dog was a fucking horse. A beautiful huge dog but holy fuck. I kept thinking to myself, ok I can stab it, I can do it, I can actually stab this animal. I was just hyping myself up incase I needed to cause fuck, this dog could have mauled me as well.

I know they rarely attack but when you have a pit on the end of your leash who is terrified and dogs can easily bite out of fear you gotta be worried. Plus all dogs are dogs first, then breed, you never really know what that specific dog might do.

when i was in like 6th grade one of my friends was chillin with me outside and my neighbors great dane cornered him and bit the shit out of his leg. he had to get stitches and shit...they're pretty intimidating dogs. ugly bastards too

I wasn't really worried about him biting me, more so my dog biting him and a fight breaking out. He was attempting to play bite though and there was an instant where my dog either bit back or was growing, I wasn't sure. Everything was happening so fast.

Yea I attempted to walk away for about half a block but it was clear this big fucker was not going to loose any interest.

I kinda feel dumb after writing this but fuck this big ass guy really had me on edge. I did stay pretty calm for the first 5 mins of it and tried getting his attention and getting ahold of him but he wanted nothing to do with me and it was just ring around the rose with my pit.
