I'm about to head out and go skydiving. Should be the time of my life.

I'll let you all know about it once I get back.

If the parachute doesn't open, I won't be back (lucky you).

I used to skydive back in the 90´s, I strongly advice you to make a tandem jump before jumping by yourself,

are you going through an AFF course or just a one time jump?

the only thing I hate about tandem jumps is that you have a guy so close to your ass, I was lucky enough to have a hemale instructor

you think you´ll go for a solo jump?

by the way, I´m gonna do a HALO (high altitude/low opening ) next year,

you breathe 100% oxygen before going into the plane, so you wont get the bends, then you get a mask and go to 40,000 ft. then you jump. the instructors are a bunch of ex-military.

That's just nuts. I did it yesterday and it was easily the best experience of my life.

It was only $100 for the jump, and then another $75 for a DVD and photos.

I am terrified of heights, I can't imagine skydiving. My mom's done it, but she's kind of nuts anyway. lol

dont know about you, but the moment I step out the door everything is soo nice, no fear at all. The ride to altitutde can be a bit unerving though.

Exactly! The plane ride up was a little scary in the small plane, but the rest was just a blur. Once I was at the door, going out was only the next step in the process. I was ready to go. And you're so high, it wasn't really an issue of heights to me.

I'm going to be going again before the end of the school year. It was about a 2-hour drive from me.

hehehe, I told you I knew what I was talking about, at some point you ask yourself "do I really need to be doing this??" then out the door you go and everything is a combo of freedom, peace and excitement.

as of my insrtuctors use to say "you´ll never get rid of the butterflies in your stomach while flying to altitude, but after some time you can make those butterflies fly in formation."
