i hate labor day tv telethons. they take everything good off the air.

Today i had my first assembly. I had to do it on typhoon safety. I made a TV out of a cardboard box and got one kid to get in there. I tagged another 10 or so with typhoon written on some paper. Then the rest were the civilians. Then i explained the three things i thought would be part of a good safety procedure. First listen out for news of upcoming typhoons on the weather.. on tv or whatever media souce. Second secure anything that could turn into flying debris. I threw a shitload of bouncy toys and balls all over the playground. I then put the two slide/houses together to act as a building.

Then i asked the tv kid to annouce an upcoming typhoon. Everyone gasped and went into a frenzy... ok take two.. again announcement on tv.. then i played something akin to flight of the bubble bee on my electric with massive distortion. That was the key for the typhoon kids to start spinning and swirling around. During all this the civilians have to collect the objects which could become debris up and retreat to the safety of the building. lol

It was fucking awesome. These kids worship me.
