What strain is best for a noob

There are not too many strains where i live. The only good ones around here i can get ahold of are KB and AK47. There is also just reg. weed around thats not too bad, 7.5 grams for $25. Maybe i could get some bag seeds from that or something. Any recomendations?

KB is not a strain....

Look into Mandala's strains; good genetics, great price, and easy to grow.

I'd say do the bagseed to get into the groove.

Would you enter the Indy 500 never having driven a race car? Would you perform an appendectomy after only reading a book? Don't spend money on superior genetics till you get the basics down. Bagseed can and will produce amazing weed if given the chance.

...or it'll produce a hermaphroditic mess. It's a crap shoot with bagseed. That's what's so great about Mandala, $15 for a pack of Hashberry is a homerun.

However, I do agree with Blippy, bagseed is the way to start. Get watering and nute schedules down, transplanting, lighting, an adequate place to flower, etc. You'll want to be versed in these before stepping up with the big boys.

Talking

Well since we are on the subject of such a topic i figured that i would give my two cents at this...well first off, I just wanna say that I have gave the bagseed a shot and im surprised at what differences there are in strains. My question though is whats the difference is indica and sativa?? Do they smoke differently? Is one better outdoors (easiest for me)?? Anyways, Heres A few pics...the ones that are smaller are actually older then the ones in the planter..im thinking because there is less competition over light...then i tried the sea of green technique (sp.) with some bagseed from around here. The smaller ones are from Cali. Hope the pics show...

Sativa can be a handful indoors for sure. They smoke differently for sure with 2 totally different types of high/stone.

Wish they did

Well, i guess i'll use some bag seeds. Better to learn before i spend too much. I did not know KB was not a strain.... people around here talk about like it is. And with the bag seeds, is it common for them to turn out hermie? I didnt think it would really make a different just so long as the lighting is correct.

kind bud is just a slap on name for average dank. as far as hermies goes, bagseed isn't as predictable as good genetics.

the best strain would be the one that you give the most attention to. growing a plant is not hard, so long as you do your homework on it before jumping into it full speed.

grow bagseed or any seed u can get ur hands on. just go to wal mart..get some miracle grow soil and put ur seeds in a napkin for a few days until u see they are cracking open and u see about half an inch white tail. stick that sucker in stirphone cups and let it get good light for about a week and it should have around 4 leafs then dig a hole in hte ground and cut around the cup so the entire plant and soil is attached and u dont have to pull the plant out..this avoids breaking the baby root. sttick it in the ground and let it be. thats how i grow and it works everytime...i dont use nutes and all of that shit. waste of money and usually that type of shit kills ur plants if u dont do it correct.

That's a tough one. Almost any bagseed where you only find one or 2 seeds in a big bag is most likely the result of hermaphroditic self-pollenization. So the hermy switch is there. As to whether or not your plants actually herm is affected by many, many factors, not the least of which is how many times has this strain selfpollenated before getting to the plant that produced your bud.

In general, most bagseed won't go hermy unless stressed. But this is a very general rule, and there are exceptions. Some will hermy right from the gate. That's rare, tho.
