G-13?

Anyone know how this strain got it's name? I ask because there's a chicano gang in LA called G-13 (Gardena 13, the 13 referring to their sureno affiliation).

And then there's OG Kush, OG meaning original or old gangster. What's up with the gangbangin' strain names?

G-13 was a government bred strain that originated in Mississippi. Pure G-13 doesn't exist anymore. But the best cuts of G-13 are the Airbourne and Pacific.

G = Government
13 = M being 13th letter of the alphabet
G-13 = Government Marijuana

OG Kush is a hermied off-spring of Chemdawg. It got it's name from the dudes who brought it to Lake Tahoe. Their reasoning was that if the New York kids can change the name to Diesel, then they can call it OG Kush. A reference to the west coast rap scene. Kush because one of the kids believes there is Kush in it. When all reality, there is no Kush in it.

well if the Airbourne G-13 is a myth, I should stop smoking cause I'm having some severe hallucinations.
