Seed Prices

I know this is probably the point of the seedbank review thread, but I have a question about varying prices of seedbanks.

I've recently been re-reading growing info and checking prices of seeds out again as I desperately want to get back into growing, my home situation doesn't allow for such joyous activity at the mo , there is this one cupboard I am desperate to secretly exploit! Doubt it tho!

My question is this, why do prices of seedbanks vary so much?

I was scanning through the seedbank at UK420 shop and the prices of seeds from different breeders are hugely different in some cases.

For example the big bud from Sensi Seeds is £60 for 10 seeds, but Nirvana have the same strain for £15 for 10... What gives?

(Plus why is big bud always touted as one of the highest yielding strains, but the yield figures on most seedbank pages read 150g/sq foot, way below most other strains I have looked at which usually average 350g - 500g)

D'ya mean theres fuck all difference? If so I think I'll be giving Nirvana an order or two in the near future! They're well cheaper than the rest!

Have heard of those 2, though isn't G-13 meant to be the mythical government strain that isn't really available anymore or summat?

Not that it matters, as long as it can be grown in a secret garden and produces some sticky icky bud then I am not overly arsed what strain it is, have always had decent results with bagseed in the past! never seem to get seeds from bags anymore tho!

Only small, its a walk in floor to ceiling jobbie, 2.2ft wide by about 3ft deep... room enough for 1 though (so I've been thinking anyway!)

I am living back at home at the moment though due to my finances being too shitty to keep on paying rent... I can't guarantee it wouldn't be discovered... my room always smells of weed anyway and my family all know I smoke but the smell of fresh plants is a different ballgame and I don't think the extra £££ on the electricity bill would go unnoticed! I know my folks would flip their lid if they found out I was growing in their house so I probably will respect 'em and wait...

Am planning on moving out soon after xmas anyway so it won't hurt me to get my plans in place for a proper garden when that happens!

Seed prices vary for many reason. You would hope that the more expensive the seed the better it is and the more work that was put into making the strain, but that's not always the case. There are profiteers out there who will sell low or unknown quality, overpriced seeds because they can and people buy.
