SAT/ACT scores

I got a 26 on my ACT

18 on english (it was a 20 the first time I took it)
24 on math (same as the first time)
32 on reading (29 the first time)
28 on science (24 the first time)
20 on combined english/writing (19 the first time)

lol, I can read a book, but I sure as hell can't write one.

I'm not happy with the scores, well the english and math scores I'm not happy with, so I'm going to take it for the 3rd time probably in the fall, aiming for a 28. Any suggestions on websites or books that can help me improve on my grammer skills and all that.

I'm planning on going to App State, but I would love to go to UNC (even though Im a duke fan) for the pharmacy school. However the UNC dream will more then likely not happen.

I had some kick ass scores but lately I've pickled my brain. My little sister, she's so smart. She's a hard worker too, doesn't drink and I don't think she goes out much at all, I'm a little concerned for her social life but I think she's doing great in college.

i got a 980 total on the SAT after taking it two or three times and the psat once. i hate these damn standardized tests. but hell what do i care, i go to rutger university. the only school that TURNED DOWN Ivy league status

u guys are geniuses i got an 18 on my ACT went in really baked but i still feel dumb but i got an 30 in the science part and had no idea about any of it lol

i dont know shit about the ACT scores

i do know that a majority of schools don't accept the writing section of the SATs yet...my school didn't..only a few do now...a lot don't agree with it

i got a 24, then dropped out of community college

/going back to a real school this fall

I have no idea how to take those scores, but I failed math, never got a HS diploma. I did good at english though.

How anyone can get an 18 on the ACT is a mystery to me. I always assumed that maybe that was like, a person who just marked every box, or wrote his name using the boxes on the answer sheet, or was narcoleptic and only awake for half the test, or something.

With all the ACT prep guides, study aids, etc. out there (which I think are stupid to begin with), I just don't get it.

Took it once, got a 34.

Never taken the ACT. Took the SAT in January, got a 2050. Took it again two weeks ago, hopefully I did better this time.

My scores are really starting to make me regret not doing anything in school. I really wish I applied myself, starting all the way back in late elementary school. Sense then I really never cared, or even made an attempt to learn the material. All I cared about was getting by (I do this really well, but as the years go on it gets harder and harder to do that). Alot of this is because of my ADD, but thats no excuse.

my SAT was like...1464/2400

it came to be like 958 or somethin like that when they took away the writing

not great but a lil above average..oh well, got me into a good school

Heh I got an 1190 on the SAT excluding the writing portion. I will be attending school for St. Vincent College and playing football for them this fall semester. Anyone live up in the latrobe/pittsburgh area? that's where I'll be

I'm pretty sure i got a 31 when I took the ACT (I took it twice and I'm pretty sure I did better the second time through) and I got a 1300 on my SATs when I took those (I took those twice, too, though I did worse the second time around).

True, standardized tests suxor.

i know 2-3 people that go there and i live a 1.5.2 hours from pitt

Less and less schools are taking SATS into consideration. Some Ivy League schools don't even use them in their admissions anymore.

This has been due to the fact that it has been demonstrated that a test score does not necessarily demonstrate college competence nor a good contribution to the overall campus environment, which is the real goal of admittance.

i also got a 26, and i generally do well in school.. so i dunno. i also think i did pretty well on the SATs (the scores come in on the 28th) which is strange b/c the ACTs are supposed to be more straightforward
