i'm not a fan of the hand grinders. i find they don't get an even consistency, they leave way too much thc in the nooks a crannies, and it's really hard to maneuver/get the crystal out of there as a result

^I know what you mean. The keif catcher in that grinder has circular grooves on the bottom so sometimes it gets stuck in there. and a lil bit around the edges, but it just takes a little extra time to get it out, and a little bit of hastle. I paid like 10 bucks, but I got it when I went to canada.

Many of the serious stoners I know use a coffee grinder, but personally I am not so into that, even though I appreciate their capabilities. I have a small metal hand grinder with a metal mushroom on the top thats really cool and effective. I like it a lot, the consistency etc... however most of the time I don't even use that. I just keep my weed in nug form until I want to dry it out a bit.
Typically my habit is, leave the majority in the bag sealed and nuggy, take out enough for a day or two and leave it in this mug I have had since my first birthday on a self under my desk. I smoke from said mug unless I am leaving home to burn, which is the minority of time. And since its in the mug anyways and I have my trusty desk scissors I just scissor chop most of the time.
