GERD.. scaring me to death..
Well another visit to the ER and some ass doc telling me my sore throat which i believed to be some sort of tonsillitis or some crap ..hoping to get a script of penecillin or somethin', is caused by my Acid Reflux or GERD ..then proceeds to tell me if I had tonsillitis or strep that i would be dead.....Felt like slapping the guy across the face and kicking him in the nuts...Nice reasurrance...anyway s found this wicked site tonight and became a member hoping to find some people out in this world with similar symptoms as I...or that just has acid reflux in general..Feel free to email me or add me to msn if you have it (in my profile) But things in my life are rough and would really like to talk my face off to someone...Tryin' to stay positive has been tough but this world we live in blows and my heart goes out to those who hurt everyday of their lives....Be easy people n keep tokin' because if you aint happy ...well your prolly not smokin'....ps...I do not smoke cigs...jus the cheeba every so often... Peace everyone!

High, again...have you seen your regular doctor about your reflux? It sounds really serious, and if ur not already taking a med for it, you should be. Caffeine, spicy foods, high fat foods, and STRESS will all be agitators of reflux. I know all too well.
I treat mine with m.j., but if it gets really bad, I do take a pill for it. Don't want to have to but it can be dangerous to your health if you don't take care of it. And- stay positive. Sounds like you need a friend right now.: LOVE:le af: |

Yes its called "Gastroesophagea l Reflux Disease" or Acid Reflux ...as to the other post the Doc said that because it has been going on for 2months if it was something serious like strep or tonsillitis i would be dead...the guy was a complete ass and had no compation what so ever...I was at my family doc today and was put on a script for penecillin hopefully i get some relief sometime soon. It seems as tho a blood clot I had in my mouth has come back so now I have a whole slue of other things to worry about.. But I guess it could always be worse...somehow...
