Try to avoid using too many flashy graphics because they slow down the loading time of your pages. Also studies have shown that users respond more to good content than graphics. The content is probably the most important aspect of web designing. Make sure that it is original, informative and relevant to the site. The flow of content should be from top left to bottom right of the page and logical in nature. Since the attention span of internet users is notoriously low therefore avoid long sentences and paragraphs Use visual cues like bulleted and bold text etc to make your point.

The navigation menus should be easy to use to ensure good movement within your site. The content has to be updated frequently to keep the users interested and also to ensure a good ranking by search engines. Use colors that are mild and select a font size that will be easily read by your target audience. Web designing can be a task that requires a fair amount of skill and technical know how so do adequate research before engaging in it.
