smoke them out fat and them lock them in a room, i dont think i could directly kill them, but i could starve/abandon them.

classic horror movie mistake. you will be the first eaten by zombies just because you don't have enough sense to dismember someone you love. s/he aren't going to recover from it and you don't have time to do anything else. you gotta grab an axe and fucking run. if your loved one was bitten then your house is obviously not safe. i am glad there is lots of your types so that the zombies will be busy eating your brains while i am busy surviving and kicking zombie ass.
