Monogomy is definitely a choice but it's a choice for mature people. Knowing what I know now, I would never cheat...ever. When I was 17 (ironic) I had a BF who I knew was cheating on me so I kissed another boy behind his back. The guilt was overwhelming and I confessed a few nights later. When you're that young, you don't know how to deal with certain things maturely...besides, none of us know what the deal is between this girl and her boyfriend. Maybe she likes him but things aren't going so smooth. When I got older, I learned to keep myself guilt free by breaking up with whomever I was with if I felt like I had feelings for someone else. Nobody plans on feeling things for another person even if it's not entirely saintly of her to kiss other people behind her boyfriend's back. She needs to figure out what she wants and not lead anyone on.

If they're not that serious about each other maybe keep it up and she'll break up with him. People get hurt, they get over it, they move on. Maybe she's better for you than him, who knows?

If they're serious, and if she won't leave him, don't do it. It will put you in bad places and fuck things up for a lot of people.

If you're 17 I doubt it's that serious though, noone marries their high school sweetheart anymore.

i dont think cheat is a good word...you obviously have some sort of mutual connection and just because people get caught in the moment and you shared a kiss isnt nessisarily cheating... plus
we all know that emotions are confusing and hurting other people is hard...its not always as simple as choosing a guy and that it.

your plan sounds good, wait it out

and as for if she ends up with you....dont consider her a cheater, the fact that she kissed you while she had a boy friend doesnt mean shes a "ho". it could very well mean that you attract her more than others and could be what makes her stay with you...just a thought
