Same here. Never have been a fashion-plate. Can't stand designer clothes.
Take any T-shirt, throw the name Tommy Hilfiger on the front & it's now a $75 shirt. Fuck that.

I have to dress up a bit for work, usually slacks, a button-up and some nice shoes. I hate looking like a slob, I always make sure my clothes are clean and somewhat color-coordinated before I leave the house. Unless I'm going hiking or something, obviously.

That's the main thing = clean clothes. Now they might be from Walmart's or K-Mart, but the clothes must be clean.

I categorize jobs in 2 different ways....
The kind of job you take a shower BEFORE work...or the kind of job you take a shower AFTER work.
I've had both kinds in my 35 yrs of working [now retired ] & I like the type of job where you shower BEFORE going to work.

I wear a tuxedo at all times, because you never know when the moment will demand that you utter the immortal words, "Bond. James Bond." and I want to be ready at all times.

Well, my outfit will depend on the occasion. But generally when working I wear my work clothes( hard hat, boots, pants, ect) but generally just for comfort.
