I can't take my dog out for a walk for more then an hour or she gets too hot and the pads on her feet wear down.

Each dog is different min is a St. Bernard, she is very big and heavy with a thick coat, she loves walking but she ain't much of a runner.

Depending on the breed, size and cardio prowess taking the dog on a bike may be to much if your going at a fast pace. Perhaps slow down your ride or don't take the dog the entire distance if you feel it is to much for the pooch.

nononononoon where did i say that??????????????/i would never call somone a dic unlesss they deserved it, which is what you did to me the other day A.S.G......and yes, when they left i did have a bad taste in my mouth because of the way they initially approached me, i still have the attitutude of "disliking pigs" because of how they treated the investigation into who shot me....once they found out i was a drug addict, they didnt give a fuck, so yes i think they are pigs who do nothing positive for my community except keep it safe for tourists, so the town makes more $$$$$...they could give a shit less who shot me beacause i have a record so in their eyes im a criminal, i have met very few genuinely nice police officers who do not hold your record against you...and i respect the hell out of them, unfortunately, i have met just as many crooked pigs (cuz thats what they are) who think they are movie stars cuz of the badge....it takes a very special person to become an officer, and since we are in such desperate need of cops in vegas, thell hire any1 who doesnt have a record, and can hit a target from a 100 ft.




and like i said the point is moot because the house i'm renting the room from (for $1450 A MONTH) wont let me have an animal anyways, you think with that kind of money, im basicaly paying their house payment, so they should make an exception to the rule, right? the thing is theyll prolly want to eat the dog because of their customs(filipinos).. ..I'm not being racist, they really do eat dogs..

My comment was directed at you matt, but since it's moot.....it's moot.
I have a few issues with the dog ownership thing.
I dont think it's a good start to have a dog that you will be dependant on, it's not natural for the dog. It can work, but 80% of the dogs that the pro's start training do not become proficient enough to be a stable assistance dog, and that's after they have been selective initially.
Add to that the pound thing. Most of those dogs have significant emotional baggage and would become a larger problem if cared for by someone with the extent of your disabilities.

I'm not judging you, just replying to what I've read.

im not looking for a dog to become dependant on, just a companion....as the current companions i have are 90% bad influences to begin with, and once youve started a relationship w/ someone, its kinda hard to break it off cold turkey w/ out being a dick about it, and i'm a nice guy...i dont like to put ppl down, and i have a hard time saying no to favors asked of me that I know aren' t too wise to fufill....like i said, im not allowed to have dogs where im living, and the ONLY reason im staying at this old folks home is for medication control as i get prescribed REALLY STRONG painkillers...if i move out, my dad said he'd disown me, so im in a catch 22...i decided to play ball just to keep every1 (but myself) happy.....i guess i could get a fish, but what fun are fish??unless they can do tricks for food like dolphins, im not really into the fish thing....and ppl are allergic to cats, so i cant get a cat either....however, they're are feral dogs that run the park across the st. from my house, and i put food out for them, and occasionally they will let me get close enough to pet them......im a lover, not a fighter, and i dont pass judgement on ppl that i don't know in person (i.e. all of you)....so until you come to vegas and decide you want to kick it, your opinions are just that, you opinions, nothing more, nothing less..

you really had no reason to come back at him like that. all he did was try to "clear the air" so to speak, and i think he did a decent job in a roundabout sort of way. you could stand to take a page out of cerebro's book as far as being constructive. just my thoughts.
