Marijuana reduced my tobacco addiction

I used to smoke like 8 tobacco cigs a day but after smoking marijuana (abt 3 months now), my intake has reduced to like 3-4 cigs/a day that too cuz my friends smoke. In the weekends or days when I smoke MJ I can go off without tobacco for whole day without any problem/craving.I just don't like the tobacco taste anymore; it makes me nauseaus as well nowadays. Just for record I only smoke MJ 2 times a week as not to get high tolerance.

Anybody else had this effect.

That's awesome, I love hearing stories of marijuana defeating foes. When you ever crave a cigarette, just roll a spliff!

Ditto...that's excellent. But try quitting cigs entirely. Both my wife & I are reformed smokers. She quit last Sept 2007 after smoking for 30 yrs [she was 2 packs-a-day] & I quit this past Feb 1, 2008 after smoking for 40 yrs [I was 1/2-1 pack-a-day].
For her, it was too late. She's got advanced emphysema & pulmonary-fibrosis. On oxygen 24/7 & considering a lung-transplant. I'm OK...no cough...no cravings...& we're saving $350-$400/month!! That pays some bills there.

Whatever you do, quit while you don't puff a pack-a-day.

Its strange but Tobacco feels yuck after smoking MJ. Infact when I am high; Tobacco is on top of the list that feels yuckiest followed by "I still have to find something"... and the effect seems to remain entire day and following day as well at times.

Perhaps Feds should start doing some research on this but then they are earning billions with taxes on tobacco.

And I thought there was a thread that said "we are living in a lucky time" or something... .Heck we can't even grow nature's plant....what lucky time. I call this Technological,brainw ashing prison.

how does one smoke two packs a day? say a cig takes 5 minutes to smoke, and there is 50 cigs in 2 packs, thats 250 minutes spent smoking, over fours hours dedicated to smoking per day.

^ in america, the packs have 20 cigs, and i know a couple of ppl who smoke that much. health is not a priority with them, to say the least.

if your chain smoking a cig doesn't take a whole five minutes to smoke, and you smoke while doing everything. Used to be when drunk it could reach like one a minute (dont smoke cigs at all anymore)

She doesn't toke weed. Quit that when she got pregnant with our 17 yr old son.
