I don't know if doing what is natural and makes me happy as "serving others" though.
Things that make me happy and smile and warm inside automatically give me fullfillment. What is the fullfillment exactly? I don't know. It's mine and individual. ![]()

I love it when I make people smile. And I don't mean that i act like a jester or anything. Its just a good feeling to help people when their down. I also enjoy working for Habitat for Humanity building houses and such. For me it's a great feeling when you help someone that needs it more than you. I guess I find happiness in other peoples happiness.

there's a busy street i take every day on my way to work, so busy that there's always a long line of cars in the right turn lane leading up to the light. the lane crosses over two railroad tracks about a hundred feet apart and every day, without fail, someone who didn't feel like waiting with everyone else cruises along in the adjacent lane and darts in front of me over the tracks (i obviously don't feel like stopping on some train tracks, yeah?).
i smile a nod, knowing i've done my part to help someone arrive at their destination safely. and i can't help but wonder whether having someone cut in front of me so regularly means that there is a great number of cutters out there, and if so, them getting in the lane earlier and waiting with everyone else would mean a substantially longer wait for everyone. life's funny like that, you really can appreciate anything.

when the kids in my class learn to say my name, and then say it to get my attention. even when they try and learn to say my name and they don't always, they try so hard! so happily! gaaah, they're smiles are amaaazing.
when the mother of a little girl in my class was visiting one day, she heard me say "awesome and delish" (it was a birthday party in class or something) and then told me later, that her daughter uses those words at home (appropriately too, which also means alot) and she loved it and was wondering where she's picked up those words because they weren't ones she'd heard around the house. yay! i had shown her, without even trying, expression! just by being me and happy! little things...oh so many little things.

exactly.
One of my good friends had an addition built onto his house and we're doing all the inside stuff like hardwood floors, crown molding, trim around windows shit like that. We finished up one room the other day and damn it looks good. No afro engineering or gerry rigging it was quality and that makes you feel good. ![]()

![]() ![]() I love my kiddos!!! Seriously, all day is filled with happy and smiles and laughing and time outs (hehe) or when they finally have the courage to go down the slide after I do and all that other stuff ...they are 3-5 years old after all. Every single day with them, there are a million incredible things that happen. When they learn some of the letters and sounds in Zoophonics and when they sing and dance, or are polite to their friends and say please and thank you...or when I walk in first thing in the morning, they literally RUN run over to me to hug me. ![]()
