I'm ashamed of myself for just now seeing this. :misty eyes:
Rest in peace, good sir. I feel now you did get a great deal from Yahooka. I wish we'd all been a bit more fair and helped you get more out of the short time you interacted with and contributed to these boards.

Me too, friend. I'm sure he's a lot better off than the rest of us still here. The whole cosmos is open to him, now.

ScooterMan....Your sig is the absolute truth. I've been trying to understand the rationale for decades & still have no idea why 2 products [tobacco & alcohol] that have killed hundreds of thousands of people annually, are completely legal.
The product that has never killed anyone [cannabis] stays illegal. If some govt official could please explain the reasoning behind this, I'd be very appreciative.

Same here zoltron the reason behind it is money.
No doubt ScooterMan, great message! Matt always said that "energy doesn't die" and now when I think of him I picture his energy floating free through the stars...
I've been reading through the thousands of forum posts by Matt and while his grammar is questionable his message was always clear. I don't wanna bring up old issues but I might start adding my thoughts to his posts. Every time we spoke he asked me to visit Yahooka more often. Well, I am now homey... I am now....
I've even done some blogging here, in fact I don't like to blog anywhere but here. I'm glad Matt showed me Yahooka, I feel like I don't have to censor myself when I'm here. Thanks for giving us this place! Long Live Yahooka! =)

Well, Boingo, I feel like I already know you from speaking with Matt. It's wild that this thread was brought back up, as I was just thinking about him the other day while texting.
He's the dude who got me into texting & him & I used to on a daily basis...if not speak. I still miss the guy & wish he could've been Earthbound awhile more, as he was a fun & funny guy. 1 of the best senses of humor anywhere.
Still miss ya, Matt...your 'energy' lives!!

Visited Matts grave a couple days ago, my little christmas tree type thing is still there and there was still a stuffed teddy bear and then some new little statues... I also found a note... someone left a folded up note... I sure wonder what it says... Not the first time I found a couple notes... I wanna unfold it and give it a read - is that wrong? hmmm

There could be insanly personal things in them that no one was ever ment to read. I personally wouldn't recommend reading other people's mail. While it might make you feel insanly connected to his life and person, I feel that it would just leave you feeling a longing and would not add to the personal grieving we do for the dead and our loss.
My logical side says that these notes weren't intended for you so let them lie. I am personally in my home state for the first time since the death of a good good friend of mine and there is a day that I intend to take a letter I have writen her. There I will sit and meditate for a while and then burn my letter with some herbs, sending it off into the Universe. I would feel sorta funny if someone read my letter, had I left it there, but would understand how it's a white elephant to others. I choose to burn the letter not to avoid that , but to follow my beliefs.
If I did leave the letter there I'd hope that it introduced someone to the side of Meredith that I knew, that perhaps they didn't. But I over all I don't think that its the right thing to do, reading the letters of others.
Where ever Matthew is and is doing I hope it brings the soul relief and new found glory.
Blessed be
SageTree

That makes sense Sagetree... Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I visited his grave a couple times recently. Someone removed everything but a little figure of an angel and some flowers. I left a candle and made a chinese sand garden then with some green marbles I left his initials... although I'm sure the lawn mower will destroy it I still thought it looked cool. That damn lawn mower tore up a couple baseball cards and at least two notes that I know of... hahaha - sigh... truly, nothing lives forever.... Anyway, I ran across a Yahooka post by Matt about music with a link to some more of his music - check it out, its a playlist so it will roll to the next Reperations song...
"good to know theres othersout there who are like minded check out my bands shit http://www.ourstage.com/reparation" - Matt

Excellent idea, verk. I'd like to see Matt's resting place as well.
I'm a pretty private person & have never spoken or texted anyone from a forum. He was the only dude I talked to on a daily-basis & got me into texting people.
Now I text like a teenager!!

Thanks for that, ASG!!

UPDATE: I was watching a show on the Travel Channel called 'Vegas Revealed' about the games that are sucker bets, as opposed to the games that are the least of a house-edge.
Gino Munari [Matt's dad] was showing how some dealers can '2nd deal' a card & not get spotted by the 'eye-in-the-sky' security surveillance. Gino sounded like a nice guy.
Matt would've had it made...if the circumstances would've been different.

Not to get all dipsy or whatever but has anyone else here had the experience of seeing a baby, regularly, look up at the ceiling or whatever and seem to be amused or happily yelling at something it "sees?"
One of my daughters did that often and I was told that as a baby I would yell and point at the sky, laughing, but only on one stretch of road. I'm just buzzed, bored and curious.
