Post Names that sound like someone sinister

Today I was in the books store looking around and saw a book by a man called:

Paul Potts

And I was just thinking

'Whoa! That totally sounds like the leader of the Khmer Rouge, Pol Pot.'

So I am pointing this out to my wife and all of a sudden I thought.

'If Bette Midler had a son and named him Adolf, his name would be Adolf Midler'

Which might be a little distastefully ironic, it works.

So I thought for a while more and couldn't really rhyme anything with Stalin, Mussolini or any other 'bad guys' in history.

Figured this would be a good place to share, cause I know you're all so damned clever

Thanks for the word play, good clean humour.

Sage

What about the ones who were named after someone famous...and then the famous person did something evil.....like O.J.
That would suck being named after him.

When working in the repo game, we used whatever name would roll off your tongue, I was frequently referred to as Mr. DeWerks (thats skrewed backwards) Sean Pen, Mike Pen (I had a pen in my hand at the time)

I've been John Lee Hooker, Charles Manson, 'Ben' Mussolini, Wyatt Earp, Andrew Jackson, Cary Grant, Jim Jones and many, many more...

People can be stupid.

Edit: If said with the right inflection, №1 can take a decidedly evil twist.

Here are some names that always seem slightly shady or evil to me:

Richard or Dick - I probably have Tricky Dick to thank for that one.

Stacy - It just seems bitchy to me. There was a chick who picked on me when I was a little girl, and her name was Stacy.

Lucian - I have a friend who named her kid Lucian, and it just seems villainous to me.

Xander - Anton LaVey's middle name (spelled differently, pronounced the same), but also a name I've heard of people giving to their little boys. I guess this one creeps me out a bit because I associate it with Satanism, which is a ridiculous religion if you ask me, and I'm not usually one to condemn people for their religious choices. But in my opinion, a religion based on hate and revenge is the last thing this world needs.

Olivia - I actually like this name, but I sometimes picture a Cruella Deville type of woman when I hear it.

So Hatila the Hun sounded like Flamming the Nun, in my head.

I think No1 has come to the closest to what I had in mind.

Paul Potts= Pol Pot sorta....I was just thinking of clever things granted.....the one with your name wasn't the best example.

No harm inteneded and not saying your anything like Hatila.

Hatala the hun the ex-nun

(Arabic: حسین Ḥussayn), is an Arabic name which is the diminutive of Hassan, meaning "good" or "handsome" or "beautiful".

It is commonly given as a male given name among Muslims, in honor of Husayn ibn Ali (626-680 AD), although the name is so common it is also given to persons of secular backgrounds. In some Persian sources the forms Ḥosayn, Hosayn, or Hossein is used . the Turkish form is Hüseyin.
