A special visit from Mother Nature
Today after hang some clothes on the the line.
I thought I'd take a nap outside, so divine.
When all of a sudden I heard such a clatter.
I opened my eyes to see what was the matter.
It wasn't a man, in a bright red suit.
It was this little dude looking for some loot!
I sat very still and didn't move a muscle.
From 20ft away he stood, he didn't want to tussle.
He sniff the compost and got what he wanted.
Took one look at me and just grunted.
Walking across the yard further away.
I grabbed by camera phone, it seemed ok.
He walked to the table and we looked at each other.
I stood up and said take it easy there brother.
He turned to the woods and was on his way.
And I thought, that just made my day.

This sounds like it should be an informational thread about your first period or something

I had to re-read the title, it sure does.
I felt it was special because the person who lives here hasn't seem one for months. So I thought it was cool that it showed up when I came around. That is where the name came from.
On a side note. That IS a precaution that should be known. Don't hike in bear country, where you know there haven't been recent sightings. Blood is blood to a bear. Something I didn't know till I moved to BC where there are alot of bears.

Yeah, seeing some of those shows about people hiking in the mountains/boreals makes me want to hike with a magnum in easy reach.
Bearing down on hiber time, suspect sightings are common, though that time is gotta be past almost. There were a grip of interactions here in CO last month. I think they had to put a few repeat offenders down. Pobrecitos ositos.

You should have shot it for proof to the owners that they are (were) in their backyard.

I did you nut, it's called a picture.
The only shit that bear is doing is on the trails and I make sure not to step in it, cause it pretty much straight saskatoon berries. I'm not going to shoot you when you come over to prove I had company. ........
