How do you make it?

I could be wrong but I really can't imagine it being any harder than coring and peeling a bunch of apples and either tossing them in a food processor or hitting puree on a blender.

Hold on I'll ask my aunt. She makes some really good applesauce but it's kind sweet, it tastes like candy.

She said about 12 apples and just cut em up and peel em and add about a cup of sugar and just boil it all down.
I think she adds a little more sugar than that to hers.

^ ya, that's how i do it.. i use brown sugar. add some cinnamon, nutmeg, tiny pinch of salt and beeeeeeeeeeam. flavour country.

some types of apples cook better than others
i wouldn't eat a granny smith, generally
but it's the only one that i cook with
it's a little bitter when raw, but a little caramelising with some brown sugar takes that away
i cook two diff types of applesauce
one is like apple puree
the other is cooked, and caramelised, in a pan then chopped
that way you get different flavours
depends how you roll
