Travelling

So, recently I got a better job then I could hope for. In a short amount of time, I've paid off my first year debt, and saved enough for my second year tuition (I'm in university obviously) - all the while 50% of it went into savings.

It's a seasonal job however, and come January, I'll be laid off.

So I have a ton of spare cash just lying around. I don't know whether to save even more of it, or spend it. I'm very conservative spender. I don't shop that often, buy only things I need... But I one thing I really want to do, is travel.

I have a car that's completely paid for. Decent car, reliable, nothing fancy. But it's mine. I was thinking of doing a road trip or something. I've also never flown, so I want to travel to another country. Basically all these options are open to me.

Any advice on places to go? Things to see? Places to stear clear of? Or perhaps places that I *have* to go see? Also I'm located in Niagara Falls Canada, so preferably south (or west), to avoid the snow. You've seen one snow covered forest, you've seen them all.
