that seems like kindof a messy addy, but maybe it works. otherwise here

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/03/02/us/02cannabis.html

there is this brief quote.. similar to one in a previous post, where they quickly mention the site and the posts regarding the initial news broadcast

Quote:
The story prompted an uproar in medical marijuana circles, forcing Mr. Gorman to defend himself on a pro-marijuana Internet forum from attacks by people who said he had betrayed them by making medical marijuana look like a cover for old-fashioned drug-dealing.

not too much else.. sort of an obvious follow up.

wow i never thought yahooka would be mentioned in the New York Times...

thats a pretty amazing acomplishment - i dont think its ever happened before.... we here at yahooka experienced the news upwards of 3 weeks before it was written about in perhaps the most famous newspaper in the world....

do you have links to this other apparent forum, POK? are you sure that it exists?

i'm not looking for proof about the topic here, but rather i'd like to speak with some people closer to that scene if possible.

What bullshit is this? They should've actually watched the video. Ken never faked anything. He made the reporter a caregiver which allowed him to possess 2 ounces and the only person he would be able to sell it to was Ken. This is not to appear legitimate, it IS legitimate. It had nothing to do with the medical card since caregivers are not given cards by the registry. I loved the article untill I got to this part. I have sent a message to the times asking for a retraction. I encourage Ken's family to sue the Times for defamation of character and libel.

Exclamation ATTN: YaHookans

How about every YaHookan e-mailing public@nytimes.com and asking them to correct the statement "fake the medical card" from the article THERE since the supposedly undercover video clearly shows that he made the reporter a caregiver, NOT a card carrying patient, fake or or legal. Not only do we need to never forget Ken "Governor" Gorman and his cause, we have a responsibility to see that lies about him are corrected.

actually this statement from a supposedly educated man pisses me off even more..........

""""""Colorado’s attorney general, John W. Suthers, say the Gorman killing illuminates more clearly than ever that crime and marijuana cannot be disentangled.""""""

well maybe it's because of the marijuanaphobia (based on the fear of mexicans) that was generated decades ago and still exists today. It is fodder for the politicians who wish to control .................... .you and me.

but I digress ...............Yello w journalism ,to the Times ,is better than no journalism at all.

stick with the Enquirer.

From http://cannabisnews.com/news/22/thread22702.shtml

Yep more propaganda lies from Suthers. Then he had to use a spokesman to say “Mr. Gorman showed that the law is abused and can be abused,” said Nate Strauch, a spokesman for Mr. Suthers.

What Assholes

Feel Free to let him know what you think.
Maybe we could get him to read "The Emperor" and learn the real truth.
