![]() 9-13-94 - 5-7-08. I got him for my birthday in 2nd grade. I named him Tyler but I liked to call him a lot of stuff like tyty, stinky, henry, cornelius, stinkopotomus, and the normal affectionate shit.. I constantly accused him of being an animal other than a dog. loss... ![]() he loved lobsters, belly rubs, bacon eggs and cheese, beer, ice cream, hilarious jokes hugs and kisses. His favorite jokes were flopping onto the ground when you went to pet him, robbing people or dogs of food, and pushing himself between peoples legs force them to pet him without consent. Knew it would come, rapidly declining health, can only watch it go so far... intervention beats a more miserable existance. Oh Yahooka, life and growing up are simply out of control. This is the toughest experience I've had with death. My best friend, my bed warmer, my muscle and garbage disposal. He's been there through everything I can remember, my father's cancer, death of grandparents, moving out/moving back, growing up... I'm glad I know I can love like this, and that love like this exists.

Ohhh.
You revised and I cried. Makes me think of my springer spaniel, Molly. I had her from age 2 to 14. The best friend I have ever had, even to this day.... It's been 17 years and I still remember her with such fondness and then mourn her passing a little each time I think of her. Rue, I truly am sorry.

The Rainbow Bridge inspired by a Norse legend By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill, Is a lush, green meadow where time stands still. Where the friends of man and woman do run, When their time on earth is over and done. For here, between this world and the next, Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest. On this golden land, they wait and they play, Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day. No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness, For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness. Their limbs are restored, their health renewed, Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued. They romp through the grass, without even a care, Until one day they start, and sniff at the air. All ears prick forward, eyes dart front and back, Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack. For just at that instant, their eyes have met; Together again, both person and pet. So they run to each other, these friends from long past, The time of their parting is over at last. The sadness they felt while they were apart, Has turned into joy once more in each heart. They embrace with a love that will last forever, And then, side-by-side, they cross over… together.

My first dog was my first birthday present, she lived til she was 15. She was my best mate, and taught me much about myself.
Sorry for your loss, those dogs get under your skin more than you realise, don't they

![]() It's hard losing a pet. They grow to be our best friends and never let us down. They don't talk bad about you, lie to you or betray you. Animals are a great thing in life to have. Like every other great thing, they must come to an end. It's a very sad thing to go through. Just remember all the good memories. 2nd grade was a long time ago and I'm sure you guys had some good times together. RIP Tyler.

Awww didn't see this before. RIP lil buddy. Always been extremely hard for me to deal with a loss of an animal rather than a person. Condolences meng.

My condolences Patty. Reminds me of how I felt when my cat Fredo died, had him from when I was three till I was 15.
At least he had a happy life with you. Doesn't make it feel any better now I guess, but still.
