What to do.

Okay, a couple of months ago my neighbor, this guy I really like, told me he liked me. We made out a few times, but then we just stopped. I think it was because this fucking ass hole made up that I did shit with him, and I think that my neighbor thought I was messing around with other guys, even though I wasnt. What I'm not sure about is if I should talk to him or not. Because I've been asked out by like 4 other people since then, and I've said no to all of them merely because I like my neighbor. Should I talk to him though and ask him if anything is ever going to happen between us? Because I don't want to just wait around for him forever. I'm tired of being upset because I don't know what's going on with him. So if someone could please make a suggestion

But here's my point of view.
From what I can tell, your neighbor is weary because he thinks you get around. Just talk to him and tell him that that is not the case at all. You don't have anything to lose. Maybe he'll understand and trust you. If he does, that's great. He might be weary because of what he's heard, but explain to him that your word is just as good as this other guy's. The dude making stuff up about you probably has a crush on you and is jealous that someone else might get with you.
