I said "uppers and downers, they were fear and loathing in las vegas too." Then everyone looked at me like I just made it up. Then one kid who thinks he knows everything about everything starts laughing and says,"what the fuck are you talking about?" and everyone else starts laughing at me too... Some people need to grow the fuuck upp.

Uppers and downers are classifications of drugs, they are not "from" any kind of movie or tv show...You are not saying anything different than they are, just trying to use a different medium to describe em...It really just sounds like you are pissed at your own stupidity...

erm, not really. I tried to describe uppers and downers and how they aren't the same as regular NO2 whippets(cause they thought they were).
they just didn't understand what I was saying. when ever I use semi big words, they will laugh at me because they don't understand. we were talking about setting up grow rooms and I said the dispensary has free "cultivation consultation." and they started laughing and proceeded to ask what it means.

these people are just ass holes though, they make fun of other people(even their friends) behind their backs like it's nothing. it really is nothing, it's like it's what they do for fun though... they can't laugh unless they are laughing at some one.

For real though, it sounds like you need to re-evaluate and take stock in how your friends really benefit you and if they are your friends out of want or friends out of convenience...

Also ask yourself if is it just pissing you off now or is it something that needs to be changed?

Yea Dude, if that is what your friends call a good time, it's time to rethink them. It's hard when we 'grow up' faster than friends, but this is life and people do drift apart for neutral and negative reasons. Don't be afraid to keep modeling good behaviour to them though. Sometimes you have to set the bar. Just don't feed their fire if they are laughing about something.

I've noticed a trend of your threads (OP) being focused on mostly negative aspects of life, almost entirely. Might want to look into that.

If your 'friends' don't know something, why not enlighten them? If they still don't listen, then who cares? Have enough self respect/confidence to just laugh it off, not come on a message board and bitch.

this is pretty much how I think of it more or less.

It's just the situation, they grew up in colorado(with each other) so once three best friends get an idea in their head, it's hard to get it out.

For the first three months I knew them they called me,"Nebraska." Like, what the fuck? It's like they don't want to be out-smarted by the nebraskan, they cover for each other when they say something stupid. I'm a lot quieter than them in a big social setting so they think it's okay for them to say stupid shit, but I have to be the smart one that doesn't say anything dumb. I don't even know, I don't fucking get it.



I will admit I do over-think more than most people, but I just want friends that won't try to degrade me for saying something without thinking about it.

You need to grow up, they cover each other because they have known each other longer, you are just the new guy...They act that way because you give them an emotional response, either get over it, deal with it or suddenly grow up and become apathetic...

This will happen in all situations you put yourself in until you change...Remember 90% of how someone treats you is based on your approach, you come at them all defensive and they are going to "attack" you every time...
