Facing serious assault charges - need advice

Basically, to cut a long story short, I kicked a guy in the balls outside a club after my friend had already beaten him up. Now I'm facing assault and battery charges and there were two witnesses present at the time of the incident. My friend wants to intimidate the witnesses into not testifying but we don't know where to find them.

I'm hoping to argue self defense on the basis that I felt the other gentleman was about to get up and resume attacking my friend after he turned his back on him. If not, I'm considering asking for leniency on the basis that I was high on marijuana at the time (even though I wasn't really), and therefore not in control of my own actions.

I'll be seeing my lawyer tomorrow, but if anyone can offer any sound legal advice or even just advice in general I'd appreciate it.

Heres why I dont believe your story. If you were facing charges for this you would have been arrested and you mention nothing about this. If you had been arrested, then yes you would know your charges but you would know absolutely no details about the case, even when you go talk to your lawyer tomorrow I doubt he would know this seeing how it would be his first time hearing about the case and he probably hasn't gone in to talk to the DA yet to see what the deal is.

if you dont have any priors and u retained a lawyer you should be okay probably probation the fact remains he can sue you idk you and what i do know is little but my buddy got beat up outside a club by the bouncer and his friends and hes sueing the bar for lots o cash but he spent like 3 nights in the hospital.. like i said it mostly depends on circumstance what was said and done now ur stuck for the ride i just got poss. of a deadly weapon thats 5 year felony. for a firecracker.... i had prior im 20 years old im gettin a year of felony probation w/ reporting nothing bad just want my money you can get in big trouble cuz if he has any bills for medical he might be able to sue you personaly and win.... keep me posted since im stuck it the system for another year this being the 3rd of the 20 ive been alive ive taken an interest in seeing the way the system screws ppl over and over... as far as im concerned

the jury is going to see you as a weak minded tag along with a thug friend, who is a liar, prone to cowardly acts at the slightest of impetus. a loose cannon with anti-social behavioural modes, and a waning sense of morality. In light of his substance abuses, and lack of real motivation to change his way, i would strongly recommend a guilty for assault and battery. boy needs a lesson..
