Vertigo/dizzyness when i lay in bed
when i jump into bed and lay down, all of a sudden i get this vertigo/dizzyness/headrush thing for 2-3 seconds
like i got a water baloon in my ears, that shakes up n down before it finally balances its been happening for the last 3-4 days i know i have low bp, but i dont remember this thing hapening as a result from it. It hapenns both when i m high and when i m sober. A feeling like being really drunk for a few seconds. went to the dr this morning and he said its a classic case of something that has to do with the labyrinth in the ear. He didnt give me any medicine hope it goes away any feedback? |

I get those too lots..especially when I stand up. Sometimes I feel as if I'm about to faint. Had it for a long time, I think it has something to do with my low iron.. How is your iron Peace Seaker, any probblems? I think BP could do it as well. But I'm no doctor lol.

Your doctor didn't really say much then huh? I obviously am in no position to say what is wrong or what can help. But given the fact that your doctor didn't give you much feedback on your situation, I would wait it out and see if it keeps happening. If it happens the next couple nights definitely go back to your doctor and again, see what he says. If nothing, then maybe explain to him why it bothers you, and that you really don't think he/she has been much help, and get a second opinion. But, if you do indeed end up having to go back to your doctor, chances are the above will not happen and he will look at it more seriously and find a pin point to the problem. As for now, play it by ear, and remember that we all hope this clears up for you.

you have benign paraoxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV)
that was the original diagnosis of the medical troubles that started for me more than 3 months ago. for me, it was not BPPV and i have been dizzy/unbalanced every day since then, and have been subject to numerous tests (CT scans, MRI, ENG tests) as well as a guinea pig for some drug related cures that have not worked at all. most recently (today) i got a new prescription, so once i am finished weaning myself off the drug i am currently taking i can start a new one. lucky for you BPPV has a simple an effective cure: the Epley Maneuver. it involves a series of head movements designed to move the displaced otoconia back where they belong. http://www.tchain.com/otoneurology/d...bppv/bppv.html http://www.dizziness-and-balance.com...ley/first.html good luck, the epley maneuver is usually effective within 5 attempts. don't do it 5 times in a row, do them spaced out like in the morning/middle of the day/at night type of thing. edit: ps. you will need a friend to help with holding your head because it will make you really fucking dizzy, trust me. also you should not lay down for about an hour afterwards. /expert

thanks Captain Cannabis
this link is really helpfull! a friend has been having balance problems for the past 2-3 months, to the point that he was having trouble standing up. he's on some medication now and hope it works out for him i know i have neurocardiogenic syncope (runs in the family) which affected my orthostatic BP, but the horizontal vertigo was kind of new. i forgot to mention that you have to figure out which ear is affected first, i don't remember if either link has instructions on that. anyway you turn your head at 45 degrees to one side and wait for a minute (sitting up) and then lay down into the position where you head is below your shoulders with someone holding it facing down a bit on the same side, if your eyes are moving back and forth rapidly (and you get dizzy) then its a positive test and that is the ear that is affected and the side that you do the epley maneuver on.
i have been on some horrible medications (about to start my 5th script) so far and i have tried pretty much everything. imagine the same spinning veritgo you feel lying down, except all the time no matter what you are doing. standing up, walking around, doing labs at school, working, exercise, driving, etc, are all affected. even when laying on the floor it feels like i'm going to roll over and fall off. i've been doing accupuncture and have had my neck adjusted by a chiropractor, but nothing really seems to be doing any good yet. its been going on for about 3 and a half months. hope things work out for you because it really is not fun at all.

It could be that your dehydrated. I used to get that alot. constant dizzyness when i stand up then sit down. I started drinking alot of water and when you keep it a routine on staying goodly hydrated they disappear after a few days.
