stoned yet pained

I've been smoking bud for a little over 3 years but it seems regardless of how much i smoke i get muscle cramps and occasionally i might get a seizure. I'm guessing that i might be smoking the wrong kind of bud since it only seems to irritate my nerves. I'm not sure what to make of it myself since no one seems to relate. i thought i might get some good advice in this forum since pot supposedly can be medicinal.. i've tried mech and chronic but is there a certain species or strain that might solve my problem ?? ?
