choughing up blood?

Alright, so ive always been raised really healthy, all orgainic meals etc etc. And as a result im very rarely sick. but just these last few days ive been choughing up blood, mixed in with mucus. its not very bad but it scares me. i dont feel and respritory problems or anything, but i was wondering if it was connected to smoking. due to shortness of weed and money, ive been holding in the smoke for a much longer time then i usually do. maybe this is hurting my lungs? also, beacuse my friend has my pipe, ive been smoking out of a can, but thats never made me cough up blood before...

just wondering if anyone knows if this is related to smoking, or what it is if its not

Firstly, STOP smoking.

Next, go see a doctor. Coughing up blood is not normal and can be a sign of more serious problems.

thanks, I've stopped and I'm getting a doc lined up, just wondering if anyone had any experience or education that could help me out until then.

and quick internet search reveals that "Respiratory problems" and cystic fibrosis are both things that make you cough up blood. i have no problems breathing and I'm pretty damn sure i don't have cf.

I've only met three people who've coughed up blood. One was this dude who had gotten shot with a 22 when he was younger and had been stabbed once both in the chest...

One was my friend who smokes god knows how many cigarettes and stays up for days just smoking alone.

And the other was this whack girl who just would randomly do it and she didnt even smoke.

Deffinetly see a doctor.

When one of my friends was heavy into smoking he started coughing up blood but he never stopped smoking that I know of but he did slow down. Shit went on for a couple weeks and the first time I seen him do it I almost got sick to my stomach. Good luck man that shit is nasty.

when i went to the mountains last summer, and i was smoking 5-6 blunts a day and holding the hits in for hella long, i was getting lung pains and when i caughed up phlem there were specks of blood in it. havent had it happen since.

i figure it was a combo of smoking a shitload of blunts, holding the hits in for hella long, being in a thinner atmosphere maybe?, and coughing really hard when i did cough shit up.

if you seriously think the blood is coming from your lungs, thats very serious. more than likely though its coming from your throat. my 21 bday i was puking so much i started bleeding from my mouth/throat.

well i haven't gotten to the doctor yet, but i went cold turkey and the blood stopped. I'm going to start up smoking again when i get my pipe after a couple weeks, hope that it wont come back. I've been thinking about it and I'm pretty sure that it was more the holding in hits then anything... we'll see soon

alright, i dident end up going to the doctor beacuase it went away completely. i got a little homemade vape set up and i lov eit, it hold it just as long and no problems at all. im assuming that its the can then, and im really gonna stay away from them o.0
