pharyngitis
ok so my doctor tells me I have viral pharyngitis. I smoke weed only and I smoke daily. however I am wondering if weed will slow down my immune system while Im sick. I am not really worried about irritating my throat with smoke unless that will make my sickness last longer. but I want to know everyone's experience I have had this for about 3 days now and I have been smoking everyday not all day though mostly in the morning or at night.
also what is the best way for me to smoke it while im sick? I have a bowl, a bong, and a couple of one hitters. I do not like joints mostly because I like the taste of weed, not the taste of paper.

What I read says 4-10 days. Just take a break for a few days and it will be better quicker, I'm sure.

If you have an infection of the THROAT, you should not be smoking ANYTHING. Any smoke passing through your airway is sure to irritate it and delay your getting better, 'matter of fact it might even make you sicker.
When you're sick, generally as a rule of thumb, smoking weed or cigarettes will not help you get better quicker.
Good luck.

if possible, try cooking the herb for yourself. that way you can still get the benefits but w/o irritating your throat. when i smoke when im sick it makes me feel better temporarily but then it seems to make the process of getting well last a little longer.

at this point I feel that it would be prudent to point out that the combustion of marijuana produces more "toxic" chemicals than the combustion of tobacco. I believe marijuana produces around 300 chemicals as a by product of combustion that are known to be toxic to humans.
So consider that you're actually putting more toxins into your body while you're sick.

someone posted a list here somewhere, it's probably lost now.
I believe the chemicals are less concentrated overall in marijuana, but I'm almost 100% sure there are about 100 more toxic chemicals in marijuana than tobacco

well, anything that is burned releases over 300 toxic chemicals they are carcinogens, tobacco just so happens to have all of them and more that are added. but that is a good point.
I wish I had a vape or a way to cook it but I have 2 little sisters and it's kinda hard to walk into the kitchen and start making anything with weed...
oh and Pharm Girl, when you say 100-200 grams of ceder leaf, do you mean the whole leaf or crushed up? does it make a difference?

Fresh is best..........dried works just as well though~
I've seen myself just let it steep all day on the stove...........kind a like a medicinal room freshener!

Now might be a good time to mention an important fact----------take your cuttings from the lower part of the tree!
Why? The medicine is more concentrated in the base of the tree.........and.... ......
When you take your clippings, Thank the Tree for offering her Medicine to you.
No one has to know you talk to trees............whi le you're there, you may as well stand with your back to the trunk of the tree and absorb directly the Energy given off by the Cedar~
Wanna real big dose of Cedar Energy?
Soak your feet in the Cedar brew............~
