From what I have read. Now don't quote me on this I'm not a doctor nor do I know your father's condition. But from what I have read is that it has been beneficial to half of those who have used it(with parkinsons).

If your father is truly suffering, and he willingly wants to try this as an alternative medication, than start him off with a week brownie(low dose). Remember your not getting him stoned, your helping him to cope with his pain and put him a little at ease. It's probably pretty over-whelming for an "old-timer" to get stoned for their first time. So make sure you have something to eat/drink for him and hang out with him while he undergoes the experience.

Make sure he doesn't get paranoid or anything. If he does tell him to relax and that there's nothing to be afraid of, it's just the medication and it'll be over shortly.

I'd never recommend a drug to anyone. Though if you and him feel it would help him, and you are willing to break the law, give it a shot. Remember in states where it is legal for medical cannabis you need a doctor to approve of it, so make sure theres no medication interactions with cannabis and he has no heart conditions or anything.

perhaps vaporizing would be more appropriate? i think its kind of hard to dose accurately with brownies. anyone remember that video about the people who made really potent extracts and put it on their skin or ate it? they would extract lbs of marijuana into a few ml's of this black looking sludge. supposedly the sludge helped a few people with cases of skin cancer.

ill try n find the video.

ok its a 7 parter, but i hope this helps for anyone.

Mafoo I couldn't agree more. it is hard to dose some extracts. But if you put 0.1g of some middies/stress into some butter, you know at most your getting 0.1g of cannabis.

Vaporizing would be more appropriete for an immediate onset. Couldn't agree more.
