Emergency blankets, will they do?

Hi all, I was at my local wonderworldhypermark et when I noticed they were selling "Compact, lightweight emergency blanket. It says that it's wind and waterproof and calls itself "aluminized polyester". Is this mylar? Could it be used as wall liner in my little cab?

I know I can buy Mylar online, this isn't an option at this point. I've been to most of the stores in my little town and they don't know what mylar is, or try to sell me mirrors???!!!

Thanks for any information.

it will work fine, heat is always the issue with silver reflected light, so ventilation needs to be OK.

I bought two and used spray adhesive to attach to the shed. No problems working with the material at all.

It sure does keep in some of the heat! My shed is painted white inside, then I used the blankets as lining, boy did the light brighten up, and boy did it get warmer in the cab. Too warm, as I had to turn off the big light for now, it's still to hot outside. They had almost a full day 24 hours of it, and boy did they grow! now it's back to the CFL's for a few more days at least. I would recommend the emergency blanket for lining cabs, as long as you build in for the heat aspect. Heck of a lot cheaper than mylar over the net. We'll see how it stands up to a canuck winter....
