Can I get some Up-to-date seed help?
Ok I know the conerstones in the seed community are the companies like paradise seed and Serious Seed out of amsterdam. But I am looking for a cutting edge marijuana seed, the newest of the new when it comes to seeds. I understand that new strains are developed on a weekly basis but, what is the best strain of 2007 now that the year is almost over. Or I you think the classics are best let me know. I just love tellin the customers about some brand new 2007 shit. Any phenotype that stands out to you let me know. Personally I've been iterested in the Ice Cream strain by Paradise Seeds, it debuted only a couple years ago and I have yet to hear about in my area (and I cover a large area) and I always love growing the newest stuff.
Anyways if you know any new shit that is off the chain tell me if you thing the elder strains are the way to go tell me. Thanks for the help J |

I think the Cannabis Cup winner this year was Chocolope from Grey Area. Other than that there's not many made public. I read that a lot of people keep their strains to themselves. I can't say I have my own strain even though I've produced my own seeds.
It's still an unknown bag seed, but from the looks of it, it's turning out to be really nice looking stuff. I still haven't taken a bud to test from my plants, and I'm look forward to trying it out after it's cured. There seems to be 3 different types. I have one plants that's thick and short. Two plants that are tall and average, and on plant that tall a thick. By thick I mean the main cola is a wide as my hand. I could also break down the type by flowering time. Two of the plants are nine weeks and the two plants are more than nine. I could be wrong on this point. The two plants that look pretty ready are in one gallon pots, and the two plants that are approaching ready are in 1.5 gallon pots. So the root systems are different sizes, and this may effect flowering time. Anyways, check out seedbay.com. Look under private breeders. That's about the newest stuff you can find on the market. Prices range from 20 for a "lemon stinky" to 140.00 for some selfed seeds. There's also a breeder who has posted some seeds from China. The site also gives out free seeds with purchase. This time I got something called Mississippi Mud. It's a cross of G13 and Mountain Jam. Also check out the weekend specials.... That's a good place to start.

true dat^ the auctions usually have the latest stuff.
My honest opinion is that until there is more quality control paying high prices is a mugs game. The breeder scene is a massive pissing contest, but some work honestly with good genetics and dont charge a fortune. My knowledge is not up to date but alot of clever ppl are growing rawdawg atm, so it's probably something of hot ticket. Basically, my opinion goes like this. Grow something that doesnt have skunk #1 in it, not that there is anything wrong with skunk, just too much of it in the breeding basket, diversity is more interesting. Also, I like pretty plants, so appearance is more of a priority for me than fashion. |

too true, afghan #1 is used a lot too. often referred to as 100% indica when in fact it got the "#1" from skunk #1.

Newest and best:
Reservoir Seeds: Chemdog Double D ($80), Alpha Diesel ($80), Sour Diesel IBL $160). All are readily available. Lotta smaller/private breeders out there too. Look for offerings with pre '98 Bubba Kush, OG Kush, and Chemdog. |
