LED Grow! - Page 4

OKAY>>>
I've got my growbox pretty much done now, got some beans sprouted under a seedling dome, and got my 4 ebay light panels installed... also using 6 CFLs in the cabinet.
I'm growing dwarf strains (LowRyder Diesel and LoLife seeds mix pack), so height isn't a concern for me. the box is only 2ft deep by 3ft wide by 2.5ft high, giving me 5sqare feet of grow space. I have painted every square inch of the cabinet white, even the bottom.
The LEDs are mounted along the two 3ft sides, 2 each. the CFLs are mounted to the hinged cover...all six of them. It kinda looks like a box you'd keep boots in, or something.... This may not be a fair assessment of the LEDs as such, but I'm mainly using them to give side-casted light to the plants. I also have three 31CFM fans (like compter case fans, only heavy-duty 115Volt jobs), 1 for air in, one for air out, and 1 for circulation. All of the air in the box will be renewed in under a minute.
Planning on a small sea-of-green grow after the dwarf beans are gone, using some KC Brains Brazil X KC.
Pictures should be up by tomorrow, after I'm done with the detail work.

although.... I had some Afghan Mafia beans kicking around that I needed to get going, so I put my little sprouts in the back yard for now...
So I'm all Afghani right now.
just put them into the peat pucks, so it'll be a few days till I see life...
I'll post pics of the cabinet, though.

Ok guys, I hate to say it but dont buy any led panels as of yet. they are not good enough. My plants are now dead after a months and a half of 24 hours of led light they are officially dead. Do not worry though alot of progress has been made on the led tech for growing thanx to nasa and massive corps. you guys keep your eyes open and look out for any information. I am handing this thread over to newbiegreen now for the remainder of his LED grow. I am also asking one of the MODS who have been folloing along with us in this thread to please keep this thread but change the name to LED Lighting Info. I ask this because so many people have questions about LED's and there are answers. Lets keep this info and build onto it. make this thread official LED info thread. Thanx

LoL, I could have used some of your miracles for this grow. Well I think that LED"S just aren't strong enough yet. Atleast not for the common grower yet. I'm sure they have some that work but I dont it will be cheap. as far as these they just weren't bright enough. the plants always looked down they never perked. Just a total lack of lite. anyways thanx for keeping up guys.

Wow that really sucks that they didnt grow. My guess is yours they just probably werent bright enough. goodluck on your next grow
