Found Abandoned Plant?
Here's the deal. I was walking through the woods and I found this redish purplish shrub. At first glance it looks like some random shrub, however the leaves are pot leaves, their just small(but the plant does look kinda young). The leaves on the bottom are still green and some of the inner leafs on top are still greenish but their all mostly purplish red. I examined the stalk thinking "ooo wee what did I just find!" but it was more like a tree's stalk then a tweed plants stalk...
It doesn't have the same structure as a pot plant really just the same leaves and types of branches. I will examine it further tommarrow too see if it has any sex. Any chance its a hemp plant? Why is it so purple/red? Any other plants with the EXACT same leaf structure as cannabis? It reminded me of a poorly treated plant, maybe someone dropped a bean back there, and it just grew weirdly. I might be able to snag pictures but I hate incriminating myself... Not like this forum probably doesn't already do that haha. ![]() |

Well I just checked it again, it has no pistols, and no flowers. So therefore it isn't weed, I will take a picture and post it for informational purposes.
Thanks cap'n! |

Yeah that looks like the culprit I'll post a picture as soon as I can find someone to borrow a digi camera from.
Is it possible for that japenese maple to be like 3 feet tall, have purpleish outer leaves but green underneath them. And the inner leaves are purely green, and the stems connecting to the leaves are purple streaks with green mostly. It just didin't have any "fan" leaves so I am a bit confused. |

Umm, no I haven't let alone in the middle of the woods. I didn't grow up in some rural setting where mommy tought me what flowers are. So I learned something and I'm an idiot?
And the leaves on the plant I found have more convincing shape then those. Green and Purple I was being wishful, and I didn't wanna get spotted there incase it was being watched.

![]() ^Front^ ![]() ^Back^ Those pictures are in my defense and for educational purposes. That purple just looked so fruit roll-uppy and delicious. See my leafs are more convincing then those pictured above. And this is a MJ leaf ![]()

Oh I'm saying it isn't cannabis. But it looks more convincing then the pictures above IMO. I'm sure its a baby japenese maple. Yeah the underside is too shiny for it to be MJ.
