There is alot of controversy on the mayan calendar and how correct it is. What do you guys think of this and the new world beginning dec 31 2012?

I used to think that the world was definately going to end at this time, but now I have some doubts. Certainly, something exiting is going to happen, but I believe it will deal more with a shift in the universal consciousness than the Apocolypse.

That is the day of the death of the 6th sun...

the poles on the earth will change, and alot of things will be different...

the myans also predited the death of the 5th sun in 1991, on wich day there was a very long and dark solar eclips...

Who knows what will happen...

it is supposed to be some sort of golden age. 6 more years togo.

Sorry, there is no Golden Age in sight; I can assure you. A Golden Age is only attainable when the energy of creation (big bang) is still dominant, and our present age is caught up in the universe's contraction. But even so, we could be on the brink of a new awakening: a stage of Yang in this age of Yin. That's the way I see it, at least.

Dude who are you to say when we can and cannot have a golden age And how do you know the universe is contracting now?

I too don't know what to think, but it doesn't seem impossible to have some majour world changing event around that time. Even if its subtle and not so noticable.

I don't dictate what age we are in, and I don't know if anyone (or anything) does. But with a trained eye one can read the signs and divine certain truths which clue you in to such things as which age we are in, and what that age's qualities are. If nothing else, a look in your local newspaper or 5 minutes spent watching CNN can show you how our universe is in a state of collapse.

If all of human history had prevelant literacy or cable television, it would have been much the same. If your eye was so trained it would see your bias. This is the only age you have lived in, there is nothing to compare.

If you maintain a radical definition of "golden age" you should state that in the first place.

Stoned Rasta said "some sort of golden age" and you contradicted with your specific and narrow yet undefined view of what a golden age is.

Sorry, I guess you're right even though you're presenting nothing to counter my claim.

Look guys, there is no possible way that we could exist in the Golden Age. That Golden Age is a time lost in remote antiquity. Golden Ages only exist at the beginning of a system's existence. For instance, the "Golden Age" of your life is your time spent in the womb. During this time, you are in a constant state of progression. The manifestations of your single-celled existence become more prolific as your DNA instructs certain enzymes to transform certain cells into heart and brain and bone and kidney cells. You do not have to expend any energy for this process, all energy is drawn from your mother, the ever-abundtant Ether. After birth, however, your entire existence is centered around trying to preserve the being your DNA created in the womb, and you spend your own energy trying to procure sustenance. Later on in life, you will begin to lose this battle and become more and more helpless as your life systems begin to shut down. Once your energy is spent, you die.

Where is the scandal in what I've said?

"Yang" is the dynamic energy of creation. "Yin" is the passive energy (or, more technically, a lack of energy) of dormancy or hibernation. We are leaning more towards the Yin end of the spectrum. In my estimation, of course. Some folks don't seem to agree.

Yeah, pretty much! But so does the inside of a black hole, remember.

You have to understand (not you personally, but people in general who want to grasp topics such as this) that opposites are, in fact, opposites. If our universe is (as I believe) currently contracting, the "laws" of nature which a physicist or astronomer observes and describes in his own terms would be radically different from how a physicist or astronomer would observe and describe a universe that is expanding.

Perhaps 200 billion light years away, there's the next phase of our existance..Remember you cannot destroy energy, which is all we are... -matthew munari rip matt
