Deja-vu.. what am I going through?
For me the most obvious theory to explain the feeling of a deja-vu is that it did actually happen before.
I record my dreams and have been on and off for a few years now. It's quite a collection and is always interesting to go back and read. Some very interesting things have come about from this.. the most mind blowing is that dreams I have had several months back have actually happened in my waking life. Could anyone suggest a possible reason how and why this could happen? I have been pondering numerous ideas and it would be nice to have some other input. This has happened noticeably on three occasions. the most recent provoked me to make this post. It was a dream about a lesson I taught on sex education this week. I had a feeling of deja-vu almost all the way though it.. which is not really common for me.. most of the times the feeling will be short and not be so pronounced. After I got back home the first thing I did was start scanning through my dream records. It took me a good hour or so with a little side-tracking to find it. But there it was.. a record of a dream about teaching sex education. Now.. it was not an exact replica but there were a number points in there which were just too much of a coincidence. A few years or so ago I had a more prominent one about a woman getting robbed in the forest near my old house. At that stage I was not recording my dreams but the very next day I took the dog for a walk and a big spliff down to the woods. My dog jumped in the mud which pissed me off a bit because I would have to clean him. When he jumped out I noticed some documents sprawled over the floor half soaked in mud. I looked around a bit and eventually noticed a purse. In it there was no money but a picture and several other unimportant cards. The woman in the picture was the woman in my dream. i handed the wallet in at the police station and that was that. I always wanted to meet the woman though to speak to her about the series of events so I would have a chance to see if there were any more similarities. It was a crazy time and my friends took what I was saying with a pinch of salt.. but regardless of what they thought.. it was mad stuff and still makes me wonder. Sooo... thoughts and ideas? M |

when i was younger i had a few of those type of dreams. they had the same theme. babies. whether it was the gender of an unborn baby whose mama i knew, or the fact that someone was pregnant, it happened 2 times that i can clearly remember.
the first was when i was 13. my parents are divorced, so i lived with my dad at the time, and my mom lived in illinois, i in california. i was dreaming of holding a baby in a blue blanket that i identified as a boy in the dream, rocking him back and forth, back and forth, with the aid of my mothers hand gently rocking with my arm and the baby boy. i recognized him as my brother. i was awakened by my granny, gently pushing on my arm, to find that my mother was on the phone long distance (when that was a big deal, i guess) so i got up and told her my dream. she laughed it off until a week later when she called me to tell me she was, in fact, pregnant. nine months later, my brother ben was born. ![]() the other was when i lived in boston, i was a temp for a woman who was out on maternity leave, and she trained me before she left. we became good friends, and i was convinced that she was having a girl. something told me i had a 'feeling' about it. so anyway, she calls the office to let everyone know that she is in labor...i go home for the night, awaiting news of the baby girl. that night i dreamt that she called me to tell me about the baby. i said, 'so, how's your baby girl?' and she said, 'well, my baby boy is fine.' the next day i found out she had a boy. ![]() strange. it felt more like a premonition, now that i read it back, rather than deja vu. what's the difference? i'm confused now. ![]()

This stuff is spooky. Idk what it is but it has happened to me as well. I cant think of a time right now but I will start recording my dreams (good idea). especially after watching many movies like final destination 3.
