Oneironaut

Are you one? Do you like to explore different states of consciousness? Where have you been? What was it like? (Mods.. please could you change the title to 'Oneironaut..?')

Oneironaut, the Navigator of Being. I like that word.

I most definitely consider myself an explorer of conscious states, and have found the different perspectives given to me through my experiences of the herb and the mushroom to be invaluable in broadening my understanding of Being.

I would consider the herb valuable in the sense that it disrupts, to a certain extent, habits of thought that limit the ability to form insight. Things are just different enough (from the sober state) to give perspective, and highlight mental activities I might otherwise take for granted (never become aware of).

The mushroom, on the other hand, obliterates mental Karma. All the patterns and habits of thought are cast off like so much dead weight, and a certain obviousness about reality sets in, leaving me very clear on things that I might otherwise be confused or conflicted about. The experience can be absolutely rapturous. The last time, I felt as thought I'd discovered the art of thinking backwards. It was brilliant.

I am entirely about altered states of being. From meditation to every drug I could ever get my hands on. Reality is as fickle as the body.

I have not existed in a k-hole, I have died(people felt no pulse and had to give emergency cpr and other such) from bad drug combinations, I have felt reborn from psychedelics, I have watched my dick disapear and the sky turn into the ground and versa vice. I have fingerpainted with the devil using my own sweat and vomit. I have broken and mended myself thousands of times. All of these thoughts/experiances compiled into one post would be impossible.

I currently have problems remembering my roles in the past and remember things happening differently(me "remmember when blank blank happened?" response "you weren't there dude? How do you even know about that?")? Everyone I have asked one question with good memory of their childhood can relate to this experiance.
"Have you ever watched a movie, and remmembered a part of the movie that never shows up. But you remmember the experiance of watching it?"

Does this mean I am delirious or in a state of multidimensional existence? Does that matter when my life is similiar to that of a fruit fly?

I don't know? and if I cared I would have killed myself. I'm just enjoying the ride[one thing my uncle CIDney taught me].

How about you mescalito, you seem pretty out there yourself I can sense the vibes from you posting. Where have you been and what does it mean?

If you want to know any of my experiances name a drug 'side from dmt and RC's and I'll tell you where it took me, or any practise of beliefs from solipsism to christianity, from meditation - sleep - "consious" life.

I'm sick of thinking about this - end post.

My travels always seem to be accompanied by some sort of message. Back when I was a true Oneironaut of the dream world and AP, I seemed to have entities speak to me of so called "ultimates" that exists is existence. Such as "Everything is energy" etc.

They always rush so fast that I seem to visit every place at once within an instant.

Its an interesting shynchronicity that this morning I was intent on doing some AP, but forgot. And this thread provided me the motivation to go do so. Thanks M

Much love

I usually put "oneironaut" in the occupation field of any form I have to fill out. The pay isn't too good, but it's my life occupation and the main reason I stick around.

Through the judicious use of certain substances, I've seen alien things which I am convinced orginated outside my own mind, yet I've also seen the depths of self-delusion and the spectacular deception the mind is capable of.

Salvia was an unusual one - the experience of being something other than human and momentarily forgetting I ever was a human was enlightening, disturbing and profoundly uncomfortable all at once.

I've had a few faint glimpses of the amazing possibilities of lucid dreaming and meditation, though I have much left to explore on both counts.
