Investments In Oneself
Even those who appear to care about their health and have the luxury, will buy organic food. When we don't even look into our own lives and question..."Am I organic?"
Was I ethicly raised? Was I horded, or currently being horded. Am I truely free-range? Are people manufactured now days? Are you organic? Remember just because your a carbon based life-form doesn't mean your pure. I know for a fact I'm not organic. I'm not trying to bitch at people with this post just get some to think about that, kinda interesting to me. ![]()

I've eaten WAY too many Cheetos to ever be considered organic.

It's pretty hard for even the most well intentioned individuals to be so now a days.

I agree^ I really only made this thread so people would kinda think about the idea of it. Like I thought about it myself and was like "Someone on Yahooka might appreciate this" so I posted it haha. I'm not calling anyone bad or anything because of it, just a little brain blurb I figured I'd share.

Oh yeah I totally understand and agree 100%. What it did in me was provoke me to contemplate ways to be more organic and less manufactured. Led me back to that realization that its truly difficult to do so in this society and live somewhat decently. Which is a utter shame to our species and our vast potential. Really, all thats available to us is baby steps. And we as active influences should take the initiatives to do so. Find the time, cultivate our ambition. Be that change we wish to see.

This topic reminds me of the Vegan Purity arguments people have on the Vegetarian board I used to frequent. While some continue to argue over how much is too much, it's pretty much agreed upon that no one can cause absolutely NO harm in their diet, much less their life. Even those who eat absolutely no animal products, scour every ingredient listing on every product they buy, grow their own food, etc., will still find animal products sneaking into their lives. A good example is furniture. Most furniture glues contain products derived from animal bones and cartilege.
The same is true for the environment. Even if you don't own a car, or air conditioner or whatever, you're still using soaps (petrochemicals), plastics (petrochemicals), electricity of some kind (burning of fossil fuels or creation of other wastes). If you're seeking an ideal in how you live, forget it. Life is always going to carry with it a degree of toxicity. And you just have to learn to accept that or it will carry a degree of psychological toxicity as well (you'll drive yourself nuts). ![]() The Rev
