Relativity of Time
i was..you guessed it..tripping a couple of days ago and i started thinking about...you guessed it.. how relative time can be.
it started thinking about how a mouses heart beats over a hundred times a minute while we are at a mere 60 or so. This is proportionate to the lifespan a mouse lives versus a person. it's almost as though time moves differently for a mouse.
this evolved to the extreme
now it goes without saying that if our rate in time was fast enough, everything was standing still. that means that there could be hundreds of species and even intelligent life that to us is immobile.
this, of course, goes both ways. there could be species moving and living at unimaginable speeds that thinks of us as immobile and part of their natural environment. too fast for us to see, and their civilization could be built into an empire and crumble to nothing in less than a blink of an eye.

thats exactly my point lol
there could be other civilizations who think of us as trees or something similar. their footprint on our planet gone before we could even begin to look for it.

well a mouse's heart could beat 1000 times per minute, but they will still see us if we move and go into hiding, you won't be able to kill a mouse because he thought you weren't moving...
hummingbirds have a very high heart beat rate...

I was reading a report a couple of weeks back that said something about time not existing at a certain point, I'll have to dig it up....

As speed approaches the speed of light time dilates to infinity. Is that what you were talking about? So at light speed there is no such thing as time, though this is only compared to the relative 'real time' world. You, going the speed of light, only experience your lifetime ex. 70 years worth of time, however you pass many millennium in real time. Yay the relative paradox.

Maybe some UFO sightings are people seeing entities from a slower or faster current of time that flows through ours. Maybe they see us zooming around like blurry ants building hives and forraging for food. Maybe the Earth thinks it has a case of fleas and is about to start scratching!

It could be. But you think they would have itched us sooner.

I love you dude. I had this same exact notion, although I wasn't tripping.
I think everything has it's own perception of time, some slower or faster than others. I also thought of a species that perceived time as going by really fast, or at least really fast compared to our perception. And I always thought of these species controlling us, but we can't see them, for they travel at the speed of light, perhaps faster if possible. It's an interesting notion, but like most they can go to the extreme and become very implausible
