Could be worse... you could be in JAIL!
Do you ever think about that? Anyone who has ever been locked down for a while knows what a privilage it is to be on the outside.
We can:
-Sleep in a big bed, in our own room.
-Wake up and eat whatever we want
-Go outside at will and enjoy the weather
-Go to a store and buy anything we want
-Come home to friends and family
-Go to sleep in peace and solitude
Prisoners get nothing like that. They are under constant surveillance and never get to make any decisions for themselves.
So if ever you're feeling like you're so oppressed and this world just isn't fair and nothing ever goes your way, just remember it could be worse. You could be in jail! So don't break the law or else you'll know what true oppression is.

but do you really savor it? do you really appreciate all the little freedoms you have? think about it next time you make a phone call or see a woman. just think how much you would miss that if it were taken away.

Just think of all the people across the globe who aren't in jail yet can't enjoy those freedoms 'cept the weather.

It isn't even just jail really, we could be Cubans or Chinese. I'm just saying sometimes Americans and a lot of Europeans complain a lot without realize that by comparison we have it better than anyone does or sort of ever did. So soak it up!

Prisoners even lose their names, they become a number, like prisoner 3102, its part of the process of mortification of the persona, watch this 1970 experiment from the university of Stanford on how it works.

And my point is being a prisoner in America/Europe isn't true oppression either.

Thats true, you should look at prisons on other countries, americans have air conditoned cells for 2, imagine sharing a cell with 15-30 other prisoners and just a tiny window for ventilation...

If the norm were to live as a prisoner, then I would say this degree of freedom I'm experiencing right now is a real treat.
And in a way, it is. We are all prisoners of debt, and while we get less and less of the money we earn every year (whether due to increasing taxes or inflation), and we must work more and more hours to keep that diminishing slice of that pie we baked, at least we can have a cool phone or big TV.
God Bless America.
