Preminitions / Idealized partners...

Soooo, something interesting happened today. There is this waitress that works at a bar I go to, and long story short I have sort of idealized her in my mind to the point where I get nervous around her, even though I dont really know her at all.

For some reason today, while at work, I have no idea why, I cant remember the thoughts that led up to this, I thought, man, if she worked here I could get to know her comfortably instead of trying to talk to her while drunk at this bar.

Not sure why this thought occurred to me, seemed like a random thing, whatever, thinking about sexy girls etc. And then after work I am sitting at the bar having a drink and she walks in to drop off a resume! Not only was I blown away by the fact that this actually happened the same day I sort of fantasized about it, but of course I also froze up and got kinda embarrassed because I have sort of put her on a pedestal without even knowing her, likely ruining my chances of comfortably talking to her.

I have had a few other occurances of this in my life, where I am having what at the time seems to be a normal thought (i.e. I couldnt put the prediction to use to prep for the future) but turns out to be a massive coincidence with what is really about to happen. Anybody else get this? Almost like prophecy, but without the knowledge that its a prophecy.

And also, any tips on how to un-idealize someone in my mind lol?

thanks man Only thing is, I know from past experience, if I can't bring myself down off that I will never talk to her like a human being. I think for a while she was legit trying to flirt with me, but lately, since for a long time I never really talked to her much its gotten weird... in my mind anyways, cause there is no real communication. I am excited though, that would be sooo cool if she worked with me

I'm glad for you. The same thing happens to me, though I dream about it. I dreamed that a friend tried to hurt me after playing horse because I beat him, and that I wound up in surgery in the ER. Sure enough next day the exact thing happen.

Never did talk to him again. Hope Karma paid him back a little, nothing to serous.

Also guys, I put this thread in higher thoughts because I was wondering if anyone else has any experience with this sort of premonition deal.

I had it a number of times when I was young, elementary school aged, but not often since.

Realise that you don't even know this chick. You don't even know if she is worthy of YOU!? Is she worthy simply because shes hot? Most guys see it like that but most guys dont get laid as much as the few guys.

I mean...it's simply just having self confidence in who you are and what you truely have to offer a person. Gotta believe in yourself!

Next time you see her put her on interview status. I don't mean literally, but you have to find out some things about her. Just let her talk about herself and see if shes even cool...

Yea its totally irrational. just one of those things you know... you do it but know its silly.

I have thought of it that way. Its not just physique either, its a whole vibe. Vibes still only go so far. Gotta psychologically take her value down to a realistic level.
