he may not want it....but then why did he actually freeze it?
I'll tell you why. He actually doesn't really know if he doesn't want his own leg anymore, therfor he froze it just incase he wakes up one day and thinks...hmmm maybe I'd like to have my leg back again...
He most likely wanted to see what it would be like to live with only one leg, the ultimate life exxperience, and now that his leg is already frozen, he has the option of reattaching it, should the want for having two legs, ever come back to him one day.
if he didn't want it, he could have cut it off all messy like, with a saw or something.
