Dreams about God

So the other day I had a super potent dream. I could only remember bits of it. But I sneezed and the dream came back to me in full clarity.

I do and don't know what it means. I figure I should share it, and ask if anyone else has ever had a dream where they met god? I don't believe in God which is why this is so weird and powerful to me.

story time.
Quote:
I'm on a wooden board-walk over a pretty busy system of water. I am running up with a huge sheet of LSD(bigger than my chest and I'm tall) that I have to show to this guy I don't know. He's wearing a bowler hat, and I'll never forget his face. He looked like he'd been beat to shit as a child but his eyes were so warm and indescribable like a fractal. The print on the acid is a periodic table of elements(something I've never seen before). I run up to him and I look him dead in the eyes. He smiles and pushes me into the water. For some reason I know I have to hold onto this periodic table of elements because it's super important.

I struggle in the water but swim quickly over to the boardwalk where the man reaches his hand down to me and helps me out. He rips the sheet in half while I catch my breathe, gives me half and eats the other half. I devour the other half knowing full and well this is something like 1,000 hits.

We go back to my bed-room. It was my bed-room but a little different of a really dark time in my life. We both sat down in sync with each other and began meditating. Meditating like it was the end of the world and the last thing we wanted to remember was peace. The weird thing is there was never a discussion between this man and me.

Well I opened my eyes and to my surprise I wasn't hallucinating and the man had opened his eyes as well. We stared at each other for a second than he said "come here you need to meet a ___ monk". I forget what kind of monk he said it was it could have been tibetan, or something with a b but not buddhist, maybe a g. I dunno.

well a hallway opened in my bed-room and we walked through. The man stood there angrily or sternly. and said something like "He is going to turn into God. Don't look away."

This felt like such an extremely important moment. This monk turned into two things first, I cannot recall them. But then the third thing is pretty hard to describe but I'll give it my best shot.

It was a tree-like body with 3 human-like faces on his right hip(where a hip might be on this tree like being but I KNEW it was a hip) protruding, the top of it seemed to go off into infinity but it resembled something like the twirly thing off of the top of one of the flood from Halo(the video-game), the bottom was green but I have no idea what it was. This image is forever burned in my head but it was fractal in nature, so it's pretty impossible to really grasp(I've tried painting it).

For the rest of my dream I stared at God with this man.

edit - I'm missing part of the dream because I remember being in an all brick Wal-mart looking for flowers for some reason and finding none.
Edit: It's weird to me that there's no ocurance of this on any online dream dictionaries I found. Dreams are a lot like psychedelics, and in psychedelics a common theme is perceiving some entity as god. Which is why I find it weird that it isn't in any dream dictionaries.

I'll definitely get one online in the near future.

That's cool kamikazi that it was a human being like figure for you. I just wish mine made more sense haha.

I suppose that God in a dream could mean searching/finding connection in/with life.

Just my guess. I believe that is all that All of humanity is really doing is trying to connect with something or some one, via some means, including drug addicts and religious fanatics, to the people down the street with a nice car and house.

Bizentine Monk? Tibetan monk would be Buddhist, generally speaking. Brahmin?

I also find it suprising that you have never seen the periodic table of elements and got out of school. That is pretty shocking.

My thoughts. Thanks for sharing. I'll continue to ponder this. Would you say that you are pretty much eating alot of psychedlic drugs at this point in life? This could have a profound impact, as input into the dream.

Sage-tree I've seen the periodic table of elements before haha. Just never seen a sheet of acid with that print before. I think the reason being is because it doesn't exist.

I agree though I think the dream is more about finding some sort of connection to a safe realm. I think that's what most spiritual hallucinogenic drug use is about though. Tapping into the other-side.

I know what I saw wasn't actually a figure of "god" or the christian god or anything like that. It was just a dream. A really weird one at that. I think the most profound thing about this was though that I could see this mans face. Cuz in a large number of my dreams no matter what I do I can't see peoples faces but I still hold a positive identity on who these people are.

I haven't been scarfing them down(psychedelics) but a few have come my way in recent times(past month or so), mostly mushrooms. I have been anticipating another experience planned in the near future however. Which also could have lead to some of the thoughts in the dream. I did watch a documentary on google videos a couple weeks ago or so about monks though which is probably one of the main triggers of the whole thing haha.

i think you should find out why the periodic table is significant to you. alot of times things like that can be either very literal symbols for the dreamer or sometimes they are manifestations of archetypal themes that we all learn via childrens stories and such.
perhaps you feel that lsd is an 'element' of the god experience?

the easiest dreams for me to understand are the ones where i can remember how i FELT rather than what i saw. the emotional response to the symbols and images you saw, if you can remember it, will probably help you understand the dream better.

I tend to look at the periodic table of elements as king of a guide to our understanding of the physical realm of reality.

I so agree that everyone has different associations to different things, and only a persons personal associations really mean anything in a dream.

I didn't really get into what I thought it meant because I was more curious as to if anyone else has shared this kind of experience. I can gaurantee I will die with this dream in my mind, it just like stuck out that much.

There is someone who visits me in my dreams... in good dreams, memorable, deep dreams. Its always a woman or female presence, but the image changes.

She's so comforting sometimes I wonder if it would be appropriate to call her my guardian angel. Or some angelic being communicating with me.

It doesn't happen often, but I can remember the same presence visiting me, being there, a long time ago, when I was wee.
