Is There A Spiritual Smoke ?

I've smoked weed, off and on, since 1967. I have yet to smoke anything to put me on the astral plane, like shrooms or LSD. The very best, better than Punna Butter (smoked with the bruddas in Oahu), left me recently on the verge of passing out.
I know all about Indica and it's sleepy, almost narco, effects. I know Sativa should be the trippy kind to work with.
Come on, bros . . . what's the best in effects.

My mind races too fast for that. I'm more the ' go out in the woods alone and smoke.'
I don't think weed is a social drug, either. Unless it's with a chick, but that's about scoring...which could be spiritual if you're talking about orgasms.

isn't that like non-compatible? being high on marijuana is like a trance (like any other drug with psychedelic effects) meditation is about 'clearing out' (if i'm right). peace.

Try not smoking for a week. Then going out and buying a 1/4 of the diggities. Then sit on the couch, turn off all of your lights. It's important to do this in darkness. You can throw some ambient music on, may I suggest Loscil. Then roll the 1/4 up into as many J's as possible and chain smoke them lighting one off the roach of the other.

Actually ROLL is right. It's still a lower state of consciousness. Meditation will get you into "soul travel" which transcends any lower astral states that weed and psychedelics can get you into.
Discipline anybody...that's the catch.

f lower astral states, it's all me so what do i care about planes and shit. im here, im me; i smoke weed, i meditate. . . i do all kinds of stuff. honestly i feel like getting caught up in the labels of this and that plane or state of awareness, as well as prescribed methods of accessing them. . . i really feel that it greatly takes away from the experience of uncovering our identity, awakening our potential, continuing our unfoldment and all manner of analogies which poetically reflect the process of our existence.

in other words, shit just doesn't work for me

I love going off into the woods smoking a fat spliff to myself. Drinking a bottle of water. Sitting on some rocks in the middle of this river. Cleaning my hands in it. Putting on my ridiculous sunglasses and closing my eyes. Than proceding to 'Ohm' my way back into myself than into a trance!

If the weather is right I'm gonna do it tomorrow!

I think Cannabis can clutter the mind, but I know it can help induce the opposite.

IMO: Yes there is a spiritual smoke, but it's not spiritual to everybody. You have to learn to harness it's blessing and not it's "mask"(escape, euphoria). Use it as a sacrament, and it will use you as a sacrament.

Yes, weed seems to bring out the forest spirits, Mydria.
Verk, nothing is universal. We're all trying to figure it out.

Mary has her own wisdom, and it is different than that of the mushroom. It's more subtle. If I smoke, but not in conjunction with any other drug such as alcohol, I tend to see things very clearly. I also have an enhanced perception of the moment as it is occuring, and actually that CAN be pretty mind blowing.

I'm wondering if possibly that result has to do with the fact that alcohol is a central nervous system depressant and ganja is a psychedelic?
