Psychedelic Revelations of Death

I have had numerous NDE's on DMT; this is what I've concluded.

After merging with the ineffable Godhead, you are greeted by those who were closest to you during your life so as to calm you during the transition.

Next you experience your entire life all over again as one fully interactive moment complete with teachings based upon each experience. Highly emotional moments are given the most attention, while relationships and subsequent morality are "judged" by your Self which may manifest as another being; Jesus, Buddha, etc. depending upon your cultural programming.

"You" realize that your entire life was merely an illusion that you created for yourself.

We are all God; the One eternal moment which is the universe, which recurs eternally as eternity.

This experience of death is "felt" to be the longest and most important moment of your life, because it occupies the same temporal position as the entire universe and subsequently, your life. (There is no such thing as time; a flowing time and progressive present moment are the products of our subjective perceptions and underlying neurobiology)

The feeling of eternity is felt as an overwhelming warmth which lasts seemingly "forever".

Once the painful beauty of all this is "understood", the will to forget is reached; in order to experience it all over again, anew.

Once this occurs, the bright white light again greets you and you come out the womb, again. You forget everything, but you CHOOSE to. And since we are all God which is eternity, we actually have no choice.

We live the same life all over again in complete ignorance.

That is the beauty of Life.

i like your post, but how can you be sure you were anywhere near death when you smoked dmt?

you were probably just tripping really hard.

i dont say that to negate what your saying here, i just think that what a person goes through in a psychedelic trip and what they go through when they die are two immensely separate and different things. to draw conclusions on one based on experiences with the other seems a bit of a stretch to me.

I have nearly died a few times in my life, and I would heavily equate the sensations of ego-death/drug induced death sensations to it. There are some big differences, the main one is your tripping face.

In my NDE's[not drug induced] I found similar notions of I am energy/"god-head", you feel seperated from the seperations and one with it all, or atleast I've felt like I was transitioning to there. Time does slow down just like on drug induced ego-death/NDE.

I believe the drug's make you convince you that you are dieing, triggering some kind of response from your pineal gland or wherever adrenaline is produced. Which starts some kind of rebirth cycle of your energy. I don't want to get into egyptian religion here as it is off topic but read the egyptian book of the dead(I haven't read the whole thing but the beliefs are very... note-worthy)!

The similarities are simply put. When your about to die your world is SHATTERING, your ego MUST die, because the realization that you are dieing is occurring, and you feel menial as your true physical nature is/was. When your on an intense trip the same goes.

I have no experience with dmt, but I have had intense ego-death from high doses of other entheogens. I hear though that DMT is just instant ego-death covered in fractal mantras though.

Awesome post though beautifully written with beautiful sentaments. Next time your out there in the matrix of life, try to remember Mydriasis said "hi", some friends may visit you!

Thanks for the link. This site is a spirit-gasm.

Has some of my favorite philosophers in there. Alan Watts, Aldous Huxley, Leary, Neitzche. Good stuff my friend.

edit oo and the obligatory william blake(beautiful satirical poet).
