The Lost Symbol
****possible spoilers****
just finished reading Dan Brown's book, and while I found it less "compelling" than his argument(s) in the DaVinci Code, it certainly brought up a lot of questions and "spiritual" thought within me...especially the research of Katherine and the Freemason "ancient mysteries."
I'm aware I read it quick, but if anyone else out there has read it or is in the process of reading it, I'd love to hear any thoughts you have about it, or the implications the symbolism exposed in the book might have on the national consciousness...the washington monument explaination and the "apotheiosis of Washington" was absolutely amazing to read about. I wonder if, perhaps, this mass-market "infotainment" has the potential to finally push the critical mass of the "self-divinity" movement over the edge, especially when it comes to the apparent schism between atheism's hardline "there is no God" and the agnostic "I'm not sure." Is the concept of apotheosis the "missing link" when it comes to spiritual coexistance?
PS--- this is in spiritual smoke because I'm not asking about the BOOK persay, but the spiritual concepts it seems to hinge on.
